Trauma-informed emotional healing through Emotional Freedom Techniques. In essence, this is a gentle, evidence-informed approach that works directly with the nervous system. As a result, the body can begin to release what it has held on to.
EFT is a personal development and therapeutic support service, rather than a CQC-regulated medical consultation. If you are looking for psychiatric assessment or medication support, please visit our Fees & Appointments page.
Emotional Freedom Techniques — EFT, or tapping — is a gentle, evidence-informed therapeutic approach. In short, it combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure. During a session you tap on specific points on the face and body. At the same time, you hold a thought, feeling, or memory in awareness. As a result, the nervous system can release the emotional charge held around a difficult experience.
Unlike approaches that ask you to analyse or reframe what you feel, EFT works at the level of the body. Instead, it interrupts the stress response directly. Consequently, you can meet even painful material from a more settled, grounded place.
Of course, it requires no prior experience. Furthermore, it works well alongside other forms of therapy or psychiatric care. Once you have learned it, you can also use it independently between sessions.
First, watch Jacqui explain EFT in her own words. Then follow along with a short guided tapping exercise you can use right now.

Jacqui is an experienced practitioner and educator specialising in trauma-informed emotional healing and nervous system regulation. She has a background in education and over two decades of experience in the therapeutic field. As a result, she brings depth, steadiness and compassion to every client she works with.
Her primary modality is EFT. As an EFT International Accredited Master Trainer of Trainers, she has trained and mentored practitioners nationally and internationally. In addition, she served as Chair of EFT International from 2014 to 2022. In that role she helped shape professional standards within the global EFT community.
Jacqui's approach is integrative and deeply client-centred. Specifically, she emphasises nervous system stabilisation and careful pacing. Above all, she holds that healing unfolds most effectively when people feel genuinely safe, empowered, and understood. She never rushes the process.
"Jacqui is the best! Highly recommended. She has a safe, easy manner and I could hardly believe how much old accident trauma came out and vanished in the hour we did today. Looking forward to clearing the whole episode and regaining my 'get up and go.'"
"I tapped with Jacqui on an old trauma and she was brilliant. She was very gentle but kept me on track and created a very safe space to let go of some of the emotion around the event."
"I had my first session with Jacqui today. We went very deep right away. It is much more profound than traditional 'talk' sessions. I am so glad to have found Jacqui."
"Brilliant! I love working with Jacqui — she's so down to earth and available, as well as being expert in her field."
Every client's journey is shaped around their own pace and presenting concerns. In general, however, sessions tend to progress as follows.
First, a free 20-minute conversation to understand what you are bringing. You can also explore whether working with Jacqui feels like the right fit. There is no obligation.
Next, a 75-minute extended session covering your history, current difficulties, nervous system patterns, and therapeutic goals. It also includes a first experience of tapping.
Then, focused sessions working through the presenting material at your own pace. In addition, Jacqui provides personalised tapping protocols to use between appointments.
Finally, milestone reviews at regular intervals keep the work aligned with your real needs. They also make sure progress is acknowledged and built on.
All sessions take place online. Before booking, we recommend a free 20-minute discovery call. You can then book individual sessions as needed. For a focused course of work, choose a package instead.
