Trauma-informed emotional healing through Emotional Freedom Techniques — a gentle, evidence-informed approach that works directly with the nervous system to release what the body has held on to.
EFT is a personal development and therapeutic support service, not a CQC-regulated medical consultation. If you are looking for psychiatric assessment or medication support, please visit our Fees & Appointments page.
Emotional Freedom Techniques — EFT, or tapping — is a gentle, evidence-informed therapeutic approach that combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure. By tapping on specific points on the face and body while holding a thought, feeling, or memory in awareness, EFT supports the nervous system in releasing the emotional charge held around difficult experiences.
Unlike approaches that ask you to analyse or reframe what you feel, EFT works at the level of the body — interrupting the stress response directly, and creating space for a more settled, grounded experience of even painful material.
It requires no prior experience, works well alongside other forms of therapy or psychiatric care, and can be used independently between sessions once learned.
Watch Jacqui explain EFT in her own words, then follow along with a short guided tapping exercise you can use right now.
Jacqui is an experienced practitioner and educator specialising in trauma-informed emotional healing and nervous system regulation. With a background in education and over two decades of experience in the therapeutic field, she brings depth, steadiness and compassion to every client she works with.
Her primary modality is EFT. As an EFT International Accredited Master Trainer of Trainers, she has trained and mentored practitioners nationally and internationally. She served as Chair of EFT International from 2014 to 2022, helping shape professional standards within the global EFT community.
Jacqui's approach is integrative and deeply client-centred — emphasising nervous system stabilisation, careful pacing, and the conviction that healing unfolds most effectively when people feel genuinely safe, empowered, and understood. She never rushes the process.
Every client's journey is shaped around their own pace and presenting concerns. The following gives a sense of how sessions typically progress.

EFT works well for a wide range of people and presenting concerns. It is particularly well-suited to those for whom more cognitive or talk-based approaches have felt incomplete — where the thinking is clear, but the body hasn't caught up.
Begin with a free 20-minute discovery call with Jacqui. No obligation — just an honest conversation about what you are carrying and whether EFT feels like the right fit.
