Our Commitment

The Holistic Psychiatry Clinic is committed to making its website accessible to all users, regardless of disability, neurodivergent profile, or assistive technology. We want everyone who visits our site to be able to find information about our services, understand how to contact us, and access the care they need without barrier.

This statement applies to the website at holisticpsychiatryclinic.com and is operated by Bluestone Management Limited trading as The Holistic Psychiatry Clinic.

Our patient population includes people with mental health conditions, neurodivergent profiles, and complex needs. Accessibility is not a compliance exercise for us — it is a clinical and ethical responsibility. If something on our website is not working for you, please tell us.

How Accessible This Website Is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. We have designed this website with the following features in mind:

  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and background across all pages
  • Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or function
  • All images include meaningful alternative text descriptions where appropriate
  • The site can be navigated using a keyboard alone, without a mouse
  • Page headings and sections are structured logically for screen reader users
  • Links are descriptive and make sense out of context
  • Forms include clear labels and accessible error messages
  • No content flashes more than three times per second
  • The language of each page is identified in the code to support screen readers

We are aware that some parts of our website may not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard. Known limitations are described in section 3 below.

3

Known Limitations

We have identified the following areas where our website does not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address each of these:

  • Some older PDF documents linked from resource pages may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are reviewing these and will provide accessible alternatives or HTML versions where possible.
  • Our AI chat widget may not be fully navigable by keyboard alone in all browsers. We are working with our developer to improve this.
  • Some embedded third-party content — such as booking widgets or payment processors — is outside our direct control. We encourage providers of these tools to meet the same standards we hold ourselves to, and we will raise accessibility concerns with them directly.
  • Certain complex data tables in clinical information pages may not render optimally in all screen readers. We are reviewing these layouts.

If you encounter a problem not listed above, please report it using the contact details in section 5. We take every report seriously.

4

Technical Information

Bluestone Management Limited is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the known limitations listed in section 3 above.

Technologies relied upon

The accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies working in combination with your browser and any assistive technology you use: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. We have ensured that our use of these technologies does not create barriers where they can reasonably be avoided.

5

Reporting an Accessibility Problem

If you experience an accessibility barrier on our website — or if a page, feature or document is not working as it should for you — please tell us. We welcome all reports and will aim to respond within five working days.

We will respond within ten working days and, where we cannot provide the format requested, we will explain why and suggest an alternative.

How We Test This Website

We test the accessibility of this website on an ongoing basis. Our approach includes:

  • Manual review of new pages and content against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria before publication
  • Automated accessibility scanning using browser-based tools
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing across all core user journeys
  • Testing with screen reader software, including NVDA and VoiceOver
  • Colour contrast checking of all text and interactive elements
  • Review of user reports to identify and prioritise issues not captured by automated testing

This statement was last reviewed and updated in March 2026. We review it at least annually and update it whenever significant changes are made to the website.

9

Neurodiversity & Cognitive Accessibility

Given that many of our patients have neurodivergent profiles — including ADHD, autism, and conditions affecting concentration, memory, or processing speed — we have taken particular care to ensure our website is cognitively accessible. This means:

  • Plain, clear language throughout — we avoid jargon and explain clinical terms where used
  • Consistent navigation and page structure across the site
  • Content broken into manageable sections with clear headings
  • No auto-playing audio or video that could be distracting or distressing
  • No time limits on any interactive features
  • Adequate line spacing and readable font sizes throughout

If there is something specific about how we present information that makes it harder for you to access our services, please tell us. We will take it seriously.
