Our Services
Thoughtful psychiatric care for people who want clarity, agency, and long-term wellbeing – not just symptom control
At The Holistic Psychiatry Clinic, we offer a different kind of psychiatric care.
We work with adults who feel uneasy with purely diagnostic or medication-led models, yet still value medical rigour, safety, and accountability. Our services are designed to help you understand what is truly going on in your life and mind – and to make informed, conscious decisions about how you move forward.
This is not quick-fix psychiatry. It is deliberate, relational, and responsibility-based care.
Who our services are for
You may be a good fit if you:
- Feel stuck despite trying conventional treatments
- Want clarity rather than another label
- Are questioning long-term medication use and want a safe, structured approach
- Identify as neurodivergent and want understanding, not pathologising
- Are psychologically stable but inwardly conflicted or disconnected
- Value depth, honesty, and long-term integrity over reassurance
This work is not suitable if you are seeking emergency care, rapid medication changes, or a purely biomedical solution without self-inquiry.
Core Clinical Services
Safe Deprescribing Consultation & Support
A careful, medically responsible approach to reducing or coming off psychiatric medication – without rushing or destabilising the system.
We support individuals who are considering reducing or stopping psychiatric medication, or who feel uncertain about long-term use. This is never about abrupt withdrawal or anti-medication dogma.
Our approach is medically responsible, slow, and collaborative.
Outcomes you can expect:
- Individualised medication review grounded in your history, physiology, and context
- Hyperbolic, symptom-responsive tapering plans where appropriate
- Ongoing monitoring to reduce withdrawal-related harm and destabilisation
- Clear boundaries around when continuing medication may be the safer option
Trauma Stabilisation & Integration
Supporting regulation, safety, and functional stability – without forcing disclosure or re-traumatisation.
Many people have lived through chronic stress, relational trauma, or medical trauma without ever naming it as such. Rather than pushing insight or catharsis, we focus first on stabilisation – helping the system feel safer before anything else is attempted.
This work sits at the intersection of psychiatry, nervous system awareness, and lived human reality.
- Assessment of trauma patterns without pressure to relive the past
- Focus on regulation, sleep, boundaries, and capacity in daily life
- Medication decisions made cautiously, with an awareness of trauma sensitivity
- Clear pacing to avoid overwhelm or dependency on treatment
ADHD & Neurodiversity Support for Adults
Thoughtful assessment and ongoing support that goes beyond labels and productivity fixes.
We work with adults who suspect or already know they are neurodivergent and want clarity that actually helps them live better – not just another diagnosis. Our approach integrates clinical assessment with an understanding of identity, energy, attention, and meaning.
Medication may be part of the conversation, but never the whole story.
- Adult ADHD and neurodiversity assessments grounded in real-world functioning
- Clear written formulations that make sense beyond diagnostic criteria
- Strengths-based support alongside practical adjustments and strategies
- Careful consideration of medication benefits, risks, and alternatives
Second Opinion – Diagnosis & Treatment
A fresh, independent perspective when things don’t add up or aren’t improving.
Sometimes the issue isn’t complexity – it’s that no one has stepped back far enough. We offer second opinions for people who feel stuck, over-medicated, misdiagnosed, or unsure whether their current treatment truly fits.
This service is designed to bring coherence, not to undermine previous care.
- Comprehensive review of diagnoses, medication history, and clinical assumptions
- Identification of blind spots, contradictions, or overlooked factors
- Clear, balanced recommendations you can take back to your treating team
- Respectful, non-adversarial stance towards existing clinicians
Transformational Coaching
For people who are stable, reflective, and ready to take responsibility for deeper change.
This is not therapy and not problem-fixing. Transformational coaching is for those who sense that their difficulties are no longer purely clinical, but existential, directional, or identity-based.
We work at the level of thinking, perception, and responsibility – not techniques or motivational pressure.
- Exploration of patterns that maintain struggle beyond symptoms
- Support in reconnecting with clarity, values, and inner authority
- Clear distinction between coaching and clinical care for safety and ethics
- Suitable only when adequate stability is already in place
Not sure where to begin?
If you’re reading this, you may recognise yourself in more than one of the services above. That’s common. Most people don’t arrive with a neat problem – they arrive with a sense that something isn’t quite right.
You don’t need to have the language, diagnosis, or solution worked out in advance. Our role is to help you think clearly about what kind of support is appropriate now – and just as importantly, what isn’t.
Before booking, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect.
- Are you primarily seeking safety around medication or treatment decisions?
- Are you feeling destabilised, overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode?
- Are you stable, but sensing a deeper misalignment in how you’re living or thinking?
If you’d like help orienting yourself before committing to an appointment, we’ve created a brief self-reflection guide to help you decide whether our approach – and which service – is right for you.
