Fees & Appointments
Clear fees. Thoughtful care. No surprises.
Choosing private psychiatric support is a significant decision — emotionally, practically and financially. This page is here to help you understand what we offer, how to choose the right type of appointment, and what to expect from working with us.
We believe clarity builds trust. Our fees reflect the depth of time, expertise and care involved in each consultation, and are always agreed upfront.
Is this the right place for you?
Our work tends to suit people who:
- Feel their difficulties are complex, long-standing, or not well explained so far
- Have tried standard routes and want a more thoughtful, whole-person approach
- Are seeking clarity, not just a label or prescription
- Value time, reflection and continuity of care
- Want to be actively involved in decisions about their mental health
“If you’re looking for the fastest possible assessment or a purely medication-led service, we may not be the right fit — and we say that with respect.”
How to choose the right appointment
It’s common to feel unsure about which appointment to book. You don’t need to have this worked out in advance.
As a general guide:
- Initial consultations are for first-time clients or those returning after a long gap. These sessions allow proper exploration of your history, current concerns and goals.
- Follow-up consultations are for reviewing progress, adjusting plans, or continuing deeper work over time.
- Neurodevelopmental assessments (ADHD / Autism) are structured, in-depth assessments following recognised clinical standards, with detailed written reports.
- Bundles and pathways are available for those who need ongoing or staged support rather than one-off input.
If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to contact us before booking and we’ll help you choose what’s most appropriate.
What’s included with every consultation
This is where our approach differs from many private services.
Every consultation includes, at no extra cost:
- Adequate time — no rushing or conveyor-belt appointments
- A holistic, formulation-led approach rather than symptom checklists
- Thoughtful consideration of medication, lifestyle, psychological and relational factors
- Clear clinical thinking and shared decision-making
- A written summary and next steps
- A GP letter where clinically appropriate, supporting continuity of care
- Brief follow-up clarification by email if needed
- Access to relevant educational or community resources where appropriate
You are not paying just for time — you are paying for clarity, experience and careful thinking.
Our fees
Below is a clear overview of our standard consultation fees. All fees are self-funded and payable in advance.
Adult Psychiatry Consultations
| Appointment type | Duration | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Initial consultation | 90 minutes | £525 |
| Follow-up consultation | 60 minutes | £375 |
| Follow-up consultation | 30 minutes | £275 |
Initial consultations are intentionally longer, allowing space to understand complexity properly rather than rushing to conclusions.
ADHD Assessments (Adults)
| Appointment type | Details | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Comprehensive ADHD Assessment | Assessment, formulation and written report | £1200 |
This includes clinical interviews, recognised diagnostic frameworks, differential diagnosis, and a detailed written report with recommendations.
Autism Assessments (Adults)
| Appointment type | Details | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Autism diagnostic assessment | Assessment, formulation and written report | £2200 |
Autism assessments involve deeper developmental exploration and careful formulation. We take the time this work genuinely requires.
Consultation bundles and care pathways
Some people need more than a single consultation. For these situations, we offer structured consultation bundles designed to provide continuity, safety and clarity over time.
These may include:
- Deprescribing support bundles — for those wishing to reduce or come off psychiatric medication carefully and collaboratively
- Trauma-informed support pathways — for individuals needing staged, contained psychiatric input alongside broader healing work
- Ongoing review bundles — for people who benefit from regular, planned follow-up rather than ad-hoc appointments
Bundles are personalised, discussed collaboratively, and priced transparently. They are not “packages” in a marketing sense, but structured ways of supporting complex journeys safely.
If a bundle is likely to be appropriate, this will usually be discussed during an initial consultation.
Flexible payment options
We recognise that private care is a significant investment.
Where appropriate, we can offer flexible payment options, particularly for:
- Assessment pathways
- Consultation bundles
- Longer-term support arrangements
Payment flexibility is discussed openly and agreed in advance. Please contact us if this would make accessing care more manageable for you.
Payments and cancellations
- Appointments are payable in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed
- Cancellations or changes within 48 hours of your appointment are normally charged in full
- We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise — where possible, we aim to be fair and reasonable
Our time is reserved exclusively for you. Late cancellations mean another person has lost the opportunity to be seen.
Common questions
Why are your fees higher than some services?
Because we prioritise time, depth and careful clinical thinking. High-volume, short-appointment models often cost less — and also offer less space to understand complexity.
Will I be pressured to take medication?
No. Medication is discussed thoughtfully and collaboratively, only when appropriate. Many people come to us because they want a broader conversation.
Can I work with you without committing long-term?
Yes. Some people come for a single consultation; others benefit from ongoing support. We review this together rather than assuming a fixed pathway.
Do you work with people outside the UK?
We can only provide psychiatric consultations to individuals who are UK-based and registered with a UK GP.
