"Beyond the stories of the past and the noise of the brainDr Bill Pettit & Dr Rani Bora
lies something constant — a deeper intelligence,
a natural resilience, and an innate capacity for peace."
"The memories of experience do not have to be the source of lifelong pain."
This is not a traditional teaching-based workshop. Through stories, dialogue, reflection, and real-life insights, you will begin to see that while some life events can be experienced as painful and negatively impactful in the moment, they do not define who we are at our core.
Drawing on decades of experience in psychiatry, neuroscience, coaching, and spiritual insight, Drs Pettit and Bora will explain why the powerful possibility of a return to the experience of wholeness is not an exception to the rule — it is the rule in action.
Beyond the noise of low or anxious thinking lies something constant: a deeper intelligence, a natural resilience, and an innate capacity for clarity, peace, and wellbeing.
What if healing from trauma didn't depend on managing the past or fixing my current thoughts and feelings?
What if distress can feel so real — and yet naturally shift — without years of effort?
What if my identity around pain doesn't have to be permanent — and can simply dissolve?
What if resilience and healing are not things I need to force?
If any of these questions resonate, this workshop was designed for you.
Participants often describe this kind of understanding as deeply freeing, quietly transformative, and unexpectedly simple.
This is not a traditional teaching-based workshop. You will not be handed a workbook or told what to think. Through stories, dialogue, reflection, and real-life insights, you will begin to see something new.
Understand how human experience is created in the moment — and why this insight changes everything about how we relate to our memories.
Why distress can feel so real — and how it naturally shifts when we stop fighting it. Not through technique, but through a deeper understanding of thought.
How identities form around pain — and how they can dissolve. Something deeper and more constant always remains.
Why resilience and healing are not something we need to force — they are the default state of a mind that has been allowed to settle.
What lies beyond trauma and profound life challenges. A fresh, compassionate understanding that opens possibilities.
By the end of these two days, you will have begun a new journey — one of incremental insights and realisations that unfold naturally in daily life.
The universal intelligence behind all life — the energy and wisdom that underlies all human experience. Not the personal mind, but the intelligence of life itself.
The gift of awareness — what allows us to be aware of our experience as it unfolds. The capacity to see, feel, and know from the inside out.
The creative power that shapes how we experience life from moment to moment. Understanding thought as the medium of experience changes everything.
Dr Pettit has shared this understanding across 13 countries for over 40 years. Dr Bora has woven it into her psychiatric and coaching practice for the last 15 years.

Dr Bill Pettit brings over six decades of experience in medicine and neuroscience, and more than fifty years in the fields of psychology and psychiatry. For over forty years, he has shared internationally — across 13 countries — a spiritual understanding of the universal principles of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought, originally articulated by philosopher and author Sydney Banks in 1973. He was personally mentored by Sydney Banks for 26 years.
His career spans service as a US Navy Flight Surgeon and Chief of Psychiatry at the US Naval Nuclear Submarine Base, more than 15 years teaching in academic institutions, and co-authoring six peer-reviewed papers on the Three Principles. He holds an adjunct faculty position at Creighton University School of Medicine.

Dr Rani Bora brings over two decades of experience in psychiatry and integrative mental health, and more than fifteen years in transformative coaching. A Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, she has been sharing a holistic, psycho-spiritual approach to mental well-being she calls Mental Wealth.
In 2023, feeling no longer aligned with the conventional mental health paradigm, she co-founded The Holistic Psychiatry Clinic — a CQC-regulated practice serving clients across the UK. Through her clinical practice, coaching programmes, and workshops, she supports individuals to reduce or come off psychiatric medication safely, move beyond diagnosis, and reconnect with their natural state of peace and resilience.
"A rare opportunity to share an unhurried lunch and rest of the afternoon having an intimate, heart-warming conversation with two people who have dedicated their lives to this work in the field of mental health and spreading a profound message of hope."
This is not a formal event. There is no agenda. It is an afternoon of good food, unhurried conversation, and the kind of connection that only happens in a small room with the right people.

Two full days of immersive experience set in the heart of Somerset — a spacious, accessible venue surrounded by open countryside, offering the right conditions for the kind of quiet reflection this work invites.
Food, tea, coffee and refreshments are provided on both days.
For those who wish to maximise their experience — or even decide whether to attend — Dr Pettit encourages participants to read The Enlightened Gardener and The Enlightened Gardener Revisited by Sydney Banks ahead of the workshop.
Dr Bora also recommends Second Chance — especially for anyone experiencing mental health turmoil, wanting to find hope, and ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
These books capture the essence of Sydney Banks' message of hope, shared for 36 years after his enlightenment experience in 1973.
